I want to know if anyone is pulling a Smart Car w/electric steering and if so is there a problem? Does the battery need to be connected for this configuration? Is it better to not get power steering? Thanks
Answer: The research I've done says you can tow a smart car; not sure that power steering has an impact on the issue. Some folks recommend towing on a flatbed trailer built for the purpose. Others say you can tow 4 wheels down, without a problem. The owners manual tells you how to configure the battery, etc. My advice is to talk directly with a dealer to find out the current recommendations for your model.
