How long does the air conditioning last in smart cars?

Is the A/C good enough for summer weather in the U.S.?

Answer: Hi Tom... I don't have any scientific evidence on air conditioning in smart cars, only my own experience.

I live in a hot climate, the high desert of western Idaho. It gets into the 90s and even the hundreds for at least a few weeks every summer.

Since I bought my smart car in mid-September 2009, summer was winding down that year, so I didn't really use the A/C too much. However in the summer of 2010, I gave it a good workout.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a heavy air conditioning user though, preferring fresh air through the windows unless it is super hot.

Still... I haven't had any trouble at all with the A/C and it has worked very well in cooling the smart car down quickly when I did use it.
