My name is Jim McCue, and I fell in love with the smart car during the fall of 2007 when I saw one zip past me in my hometown of Boise, Idaho. I was so fascinated and intrigued with the little car, I began researching to learn all I could about it. I was impressed with its high miles per gallon (MPG) rating and the major safety features. I also liked that it is designed to be a commuter car that helps consumers save gas. Also, I realized how important this car is to America in helping our environment and reducing congestion in our cities and suburbs. I really feel strongly that Americans are ready to embrace a new automobile type, which I'll call the "micro-mini," to help relieve the pressure of high fuel costs and the damage being done to our environment through global warming. In fact, I was so excited about the smart car, I decided to put my $99 down to reserve one for me. While conducting my research, I realized just how new this car is to Americans with its introduction just occurring in January of 2008. I also found out just how much of a need there was for a well-organized site to help potential enthusiasts gather meaningful information to use in determining if the fortwo is right for them. So, I decided to create this site to help you learn about the smart fortwo and provide guidance during the decision-making process. You'll find that the best way to move around this site is by progressing through the five stages of decision-making that is described below. You start from having a curiosity about the car and move on to actually owning one.
