What attracted you to the smart car?: Well, truthfully, I wasn't the one who wanted one. But I had seen them in London in 2005, when I visited my daughter during her college semester abroad there and I was amazed at their size and how many of them there were there! I was intrigued, but didn't really think much about them once I was back in the states, until Jim got so excited about them. Then, I tolerated his passion... :)

What is your favorite model?: Cabriolet... can't argue with a convertible, can you? Especially in a sunny climate like we live in... but it's also the priciest model... boo.

What features of the smart car do you like the most?: I'm a very small person (under 5 feet tall), but I've almost always driven a big vehicle. A pickup or station wagon growing up, then minivans for many years during my child-raising years, and then a pickup again. In between, though, I did own both a Chevy Chevette hatchback (great car!) and a little Geo Prizm I absolutely loved, but had to trade in because it was too small to carry all my single mom camping gear. I love now how small the smart is, so easy to maneuver and park and backup. Yet still so roomy inside! Oh and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the heated seats in the winter.

What is your smart car ownership status?: Co-owner with my hubby since September 2009.

Where is the closest smart center to you: Lindon, UT, near Salt Lake City, about a 4.5 hour/350 mile drive.

Your impressions of the smart: I have to say, I've grown to love this little car! I don't think I could ever feel as passionate about them as Jim does (my thing is scooters), but I do enjoy both driving the smart fortwo in the city, suburbs and what little I've done on the highway. And I also enjoy being a passenger, with my little Boston terrier doggie on my lap. We are dying to take a trip in our smart, but caregiving restrictions prevent that at present. One day, though...
