My Visit to the Round Rock smartcenter in Texas

During the last week in March 2008, I was able to visit the Round Rock smartcenter when I took a trip to Austin, Texas with my significant other, Kathi and visited her two daughters who live there. Round Rock is a town right outside Austin.

I was pretty excited to finally see the smart car up close and to take it out for a test drive.

The folks at Round Rock smartcenter were great and allowed me all the time I needed to "kick the tires" and ask lots of questions.

I loved taking the smart fortwo on the road. It is very roomy inside and you sit pretty high up on the seats. This gives you a commanding view of the road.

I spent much time looking and prodding the display models inside the showroom and I was impressed with the fortwo. With Mercedes-Benz design and engineering, the quality of the smart car shines through.

I was impressed with all the safety features especially the Tridion safety cell that protects the passengers with its cage design similar to racing cars.

The bottom line for me was I loved the smart car up close and personal, and can't wait till my $99 reservation turns into my own smart car that I'm driving around Boise, Idaho!

This car does make a statement!
